Tax Credit vs. Tax Deduction

How does a tax credit differ from a tax deduction? A tax credit is more beneficial than a deduction.  Credit reduces your Arizona taxes (the bottom line) dollar-for-dollar, while a deduction reduces the taxable income upon which the taxes are calculated.

What is the AISSF?

The AISSF is a school tuition organization (STO). Under Arizona law, a STO is an organization that is tax-exempt and allocates at least 90% of its annual revenue to scholarships for students attending private schools. The Foundation was founded in 1998 and awards financial aid to students attending St. Gregory College Preparatory School, Phoenix Country Day School or Green Fields County Day School.
